Photo FinishThere is a reason that this is the final piece. A photo finish can only be accomplished once the other two fundamentals have been completed.

Tempo TownWhat is tempo Tyler? That is a fantastic question. The dictionary version of the word tempo go as followed
"the rate of speed of motion or activity." I am going to take it a step further and say that tempo is our entire existence while on the golf course. Tempo to me is so much greater than the speed at which you take your backswing to downswing. Tempo is the pace in which you put your tee into the ground, the pace of your breathing, the pace of your pre-shot routine, the pace of your walking, the pace of your speaking. Grip Pressure:"Committing to your grip pressure is committing to shooting lower scores" - GolfWright The most important fundamental within GolfWright is grip pressure. Nothing creates a terrible golf shot faster than squeezing the club too tight. To go a step further, nothing creates manageable golf shots faster than light grip pressure.
When gripping a club too tight in relation to contact, you are typically going to either hit the ball THIN (on the bottom of the club) or try to take a divot and end up hitting it CHUNKY (behind the ball). With a light grip pressure, you allow the BOUNCE of the club (the sole) to interact with the ground properly. Tight grip pressure will only manipulate this process in a negative manner. On the contrary, when light grip pressure is consistently used, the center of the club face is NATURALLY more present. Part 2"I finally made it to the golf course. I am so excited. I can't wait to shoot my best score today. I am finally starting to get confident with my game. Seriously, last time I played I hit a couple of the best golf shots that I have ever hit. I can't wait to do it again today! Today is going to be my day!"
What is expected to happen to this player when they step up on the first tee and hit their drive absolutely perfect (pushed it a little bit), hits off a tree, bounces in the water and they proceed to make a 10. If we made a list of the expectations that they had, 2 failed within the first golf shot. Now what? Part 1How many times have you stepped onto the first tee and your goal was to shoot the best score that you have ever shot?
Chances are yes and chances are you failed. The goal wasn't a reality. The completion of your goal, simply put, should leave you in a position to shoot your best score. Here is how I think one should approach shooting their best score: |
