Here is something that I want you to try over the next three days:
I want you to actively be present in everything you do. When you are driving to work, only be driving to work. When you are in the shower, only be in the shower. When you are eating, only eat. Whenever you find yourself thinking about something that isn't happening in the present moment, bring yourself back.
In order to be more specific in this challenge, Day 1, pick three tasks that you frequently do and make sure that you are present for the duration of these activities. Moving forward to day 2, you are going to keep those three and then try and add in all the other moments. When you get to day 3, you should be able to stay present in all that you do within the day.
I BELIEVE!
Here's what you are going to realize:
Day 1: You will not be able to consciously keep your mind present. You will be fading between present, past, and future all day. As the end of the day nears, you will be much more efficient at keeping your mind present.
Day 2: You will be able to keep your mind active consistently all day. You will catch yourself as soon as you start wondering into the past and future. You will begin to notice things that you haven't noticed before, whatever that may be, by simply being present.
Day 3: SUPERHUMAN
I want you to actively be present in everything you do. When you are driving to work, only be driving to work. When you are in the shower, only be in the shower. When you are eating, only eat. Day 3: SUPERHUMAN
*Side note: This process definitely takes longer than three days to be sufficient in. With that being said, this three day challenge opens your mind up to the wonders of being present. I also believe that it is much more difficult to stay present on the golf course so let's really try and push ourselves in this challenge.
